What is that number?
Well I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with them and they didn't have a clue about anything being shipped back to any warehouse and her best answer was it would be a couple of days because the warehouse in Forth Worth has received the electronic shipment information. She said it would be a couple of days and you should get phone.
This stuff is comical.
If it is the same person I talked to, I asked her after about an hour of arguing what cell service she had and she screwed up and told me Verizon. Imagine, being an AT&T rep and not having enough confidence in the company she works for by using another company for wireless service. Man, I had a field day with her on that one!
Well mine says it is delivered, so i have to go to the post office and pick it up, oops forgot I had to have delivered to home address.. Then I will find out this evening about what to do with this phone and canceling so I can get my number ported over to my Iphone 4. I just hope they have this fixed and we don't have to get new numbers, like our friend was told in Kingsport
I have looked at a couple that have said delivered and then a few that haven't and what I can't understand is mine was accepted at like 10 am on Dec 12th in Fort Worth and a buddy of mine his wasn't accepted until 4pm on Dec 12th and he has received his and I haven't.
Looks like I drew the short straw evidently that day and my back got left behind. Probably will be tomorrow.:coffeedrinker:
Also, a friend of mine just got his in the mail and it has an activation date of January 6th.
Got my new phone in today. The material enclosed said not to turn it on until Jan.6 2011 or you could mess it up, but be sure its fully charged before you cut it on.
We have been running 3G on my Iphone since week of Thanksgiving so I doubt it will mess up
I just called and had my phone activated. It went through with no problems. I called the AT&T number that was on the Welcome to AT&T packet. However, they give me this number, 1-866-895-1099 to call and activate my other lines. You may have to speak to the porting department to get your alltel number ported over, but calling that number should work. My phone is up and running with full 3G, no problems whatsoever yet.
It will probably work when you call the number I listed in my previous post. Where I just called the normal AT&T number I don't think she really knew what I was trying to do and sent me to the porting department who I think then connected me to that number that I posted. When you call that number it will ask you your 10 digit cell phone number, zip code and account holders last 4 SSN and then it activates for you. I am not sure if they had to do any actual porting or not.
